Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, Good afternoon.

 

 

With all humility, I want to say a very big welcome to everyone under the sound of my voice. And say thank you for leaving your various schedules for the day to spend this time with us.

Consequent upon my earlier invitation to you; to grace this MAIDEN and AUGUST parley in respect of my humble self in the release of my songs to the media world. It will interest you to know that as stakeholders in the music and media industry respectively, the need to parley together in an atmosphere like this should not be over emphasized while taking into consideration your vital roles as media practitioners whose primary objectives and aim is to convey and create awareness for the delivery of our content in the music industry to the society via your different platforms.

Having had a closer look at the entertainment industry in the capital city, it bleeds my heart that the entertainment industry is really not being projected as the capital representatives of the Nigerian entertainment hub due to some obvious reasons that has brought a divide between the entertainers and the media houses.

In Abuja today, we all can attest that the cost of living is very high as the cost of production and promotion of our entertainment products are also something we need to look into as we have so many talented youths in Abuja that cannot afford to pay for airtime or media promotion. At this juncture, I don’t want to bore you with all the pains and sufferings that we go through in the production of our contents, but I want to use this medium to give some useful suggestions for us to work together as media reps and entertainers because  we are the contents.

In time past, the Phil Roberts Brand has launched out several youth empowerment programs like, The Gold Music Talent Show in Port Harcourt. The MCM Talent Show in Lokoja, several free music workshops and seminars in the Niger Delta as I also was picked as part of the team to plead to the Niger Delta militants for amnesty. The Phil Roberts Brand has also made it as a routine to visit orphanage houses on every 23rd of February which us my birthday celebration and also do a love show for entertainers to help preach unity in the entertainment industry. Today, I officially release to you the Phil Roberts Foundation, which is also the driving force to my PET Project #supportAcamp designed for the internally displaced people in Nigeria in corporation with several credible NGOs, as it is part of my charity projects for 2015. We have visited many IDP Camps and we want to call on you to join the #supportAcamp team today and now;

My prayer:

I wish all media houses to device a soft promotion scheme for the entertainers in Abuja.

I wish to suggest a trade by Bata System as payback for the media and the content developers, which are the entertainers.

I wish to also suggest that all media houses should have a record label as it is also being practiced in advance countries.

I wish to suggest an Abuja Entertainment Music Programme on all Abuja media stations.

I wish to suggest that we should have at least one meeting together as brothers and sisters in the industry because media and entertainment goes together and there cannot be no media without entertainment.

And finally, I want to officially release the Phil Roberts Brand to all media houses present in this meeting as The Phil Roberts Brand is wiling to perform in all your events for the year 2015 at a honorarium deemed fit by your organization as all we are asking is for you to help us promote Songs By Phil Roberts The Rock Ambassador on your different platform as payback for we are willing to sign an M.O.U as regards to this document.

Lastly, I will wish to see a more mutual relationship between the media and the Abuja entertainment industry as it will go a long way to ease challenges that are usually experienced by the upcoming artist who are talented, gifted but lack the support to be heard, and also share in the challenges faced by our media practitioners; hence this is the need for this gathering.

Please, permit me to release my videos and audios to the general public through your different platforms as our fathers in the media. I strongly believe that solutions to these challenges mentioned above will be arrived at by the end of this gathering.

I wish you all an enjoyable moment with The Phil Roberts Brand as l also want to thank all my partners for this privilege to help me showcase my Brand and bring all entertainers together for the betterment of the industry. Big thank you to Montage Africa Media Ltd, The Kalahari Brand, Vision Kamjay, Mirakon Events, Dolce Entertainment, Melacha Clothing, my fellow brothers/sisters in the entertainment industry and all members of the press. I love you all as we will triumph this year in JESUS NAME AMEN.
