Evgeny Grechko, 68, from the village of Uspenka in north-eastern Kazakhstan, had been taken into hospital suffering from tuberculosis.But as his condition deteriorated he was placed in intensive care, where he spent four days before being declared dead.His daughter Irina said:
'He fell ill and was taken away by nurses. When I arrived at the hospital I was told I was not allowed to see him.On the fourth day a nurse told me he had died. But in fact he was still alive, and when he woke up he found himself surrounded by corpses.The pensioner confirmed:
'When I woke up I looked around me and saw the morgue workers moving bodies around.'They then saw me sitting up and had the fright of their lives. They ran off and came back with some doctors who moved me out.'However, the hospital has denied it ever made a mistake and has accused the man of making up the whole thing.
Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the region, Rizvana Smagulova said:
'Doctors confirm that the patient was taken to the regional TB hospital for specific treatment.'On the day in question, the man had a severe increase in blood pressure which could have led to him having a stroke and he was put into intensive care.'Perhaps when his situation was deteriorating and his blood pressure increased, he woke up and thought he was somewhere else.'Dailymail
