How Ekiti Pastor Wrecked a Woman's Home After Using Charm on Her
Samuel Fatoki, a church pastor in Ekiti State, has been dragged to court for allegedly committing a really horrific crime.
The man was on Wednesday arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly charming a housewife.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Police prosecutor, Caleb Leranmo, told the court that the accused committed the offence in May 31 at Adehun area of Ado-Ekiti.
Fatoki was alleged to have forced one Mrs. Jumoke Olaniyan to abandon her matrimonial home by aid of the charm.
The prosecutor added that Fatoki took custody of the woman under the guise of being a pastor and spiritual father.
The pastor was also docked for depriving Jumoke by coercion of her liberty and taking over all her properties after causing her to resign from her place of work.
The pastor is also standing trial for breaking into the woman’s house after she had left his custody.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges after which his counsel Tunde Falade applied for his bail.
The prosecutor told the court that he will call six witnesses to testify in the case.
The presiding Chief Magistrate, Adesoji Adegboye, granted Fatoki bail in the sum of N500, 000 and two sureties in like sum.
He said one of the sureties must be a civil servant on grade level 14 and above.
