He Made a Fool of Me - Man Who Was Duped by a Prophet Makes Shocking Confession

A South African man identified as Eddie Mphego has joined the list of people conned by “prophets”.

 

According to Daily Sun SA, the 32-year-old man who believed he was going to win the Lotto withdrew all R70 000 of his savings. Eddie, from Arcadia in Tshwane, said he was approached by a “prophet” who told him his financial problems would be over if he appeased his ancestors.

 

The prophet told him he was sent by God to help him.

 

“At first I did not believe him because I’d heard stories about prophets scamming people. But the man started telling me about problems only my wife and I knew about.

“When the man realised that I wasn’t really convinced he asked me to go and buy a Lotto ticket and said my numbers would be the same as his. Indeed they were.”

 

He said after that all his doubts disappeared.

 

“He said I would win R25 million if I followed his instructions. I had to go to the bank to withdraw all my money to perform a ritual for my ancestors.

“I did as he said and withdrew the R70 000 in my savings account.”

 

Eddie said he gave the money to the prophet.

 

“He then told me to go and buy another Lotto ticket as that is where my millions were going to come from. I did so with high expectations and excitement.

“However, when the Lotto numbers came out, none of my numbers were there. I immediately called the prophet but his phone was off and it has been ever since,” said Eddie.

 

He said he didn’t want to go the police because he gave the man his money willingly.

“He did not steal from me. I was the one who trusted him,” he said.
