Divock Origi has joined Wolfsburg on a season-long loan for £6m.
Origi had been linked with Monaco, when it was suggested he could form part of a possible deal for Thomas Lemar and Tottenham but Liverpool were not keen on doing business with another Premier League rivals.
Origi has scored 21 goals in 77 appearances since arriving from Lille two years ago but didn’t even make the bench against Arsenal at the weekend.
In other news, Arsenal's £90 million move for Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar is in doubt, according to The Guardian, with time running out for a move to be completed before the deadline.
The Gunners revived their interest in Lemar following the completion of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's £35m move to Liverpool, but the 21-year-old is currently on international duty with France.
Chelsea have made a £45 million bid for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez and a deal could be completed before the deadline, according to beIn Sports.
Mahrez was released from international duty by Algeria on Wednesday and, according to AS, he was close to completing a move to Barcelona.
However, the Blues have since emerged as chief suitors and Mahrez is said to have travelled to London in order to seal a deal.
Lucas Perez and Joel Campbell are set to leave Arsenal for clubs in La Liga, according to the Daily Mirror .
Perez will return to Deportivo La Coruna while Campbell is in line to join Real Betis, it is claimed - and the closing of the window a day later in Spain gives the two clubs extra time to negotiate.
