How I Killed Two People in Just One Week - Boko Haram Suspect
Bashir Mohammed, a twenty-year-old suspected member of the Boko Haram sect, who was arrested in Isua Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State, has confessed to have killed two persons since he joined the dreaded group, about two years ago.
According to The Sun News, Mohammed, who was arrested by anti-riot police men of the Ondo State police command said he was introduced to the notorious group by some friends in Nasarawa State where he hails from.
He said he was arrested while looking for a cafeteria along side other members of his group in preparation for an operation which the group planned to carry out in the area.
The suspected Boko Haram member, who had been handed over to the army by the police, said he relocated from Nasarawa to Ondo State with his younger brother, also a member of the terrorist group after some successful operations.
Mohammed, who spoke in Hausa language, hinted that his colleagues were still in Nasarawa and some other states in the north. He added that a sizeable number of them have relocated to the South West, including Ondo State.
He also disclosed that some influential people in the country often supply the group weapons used for its illicit operations.
The state’s commissioner of Police, Mr. Gbenga Adeyanju, who paraded the suspect, said the army would take over the matter, but assure that he (Mohammed) would be prosecuted.
He said the commitment of men of the state police command led to the arrest of the two suspected Boko Haram members in the last one week.
The police boss called on members of the public to inform the police of any strange movements in their areas.
