Manchester United Star, Alexis Sanchez’s Girlfriend’s Aunt Killed By Her Husband - Photos
Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez was comforting his grieving girlfriend today after she was hit with a bad family news. According to media reports, her aunt’s husband had confessed to shooting her dead. Mayte Rodriguez and her actress mum Carolina Arregui both appealed for information on the whereabouts of Concepcion Arregui after she vanished on February 5.
The 59-year-old’s family reported her missing to police after she supposedly took a long-distance coach from her home in Argentina to her native Chile but failed to arrive.
The investigation into her mystery disappearance took an unexpected twist in the last few hours after her husband Roberto Audano, 70, confessed to killing her and burying her body.
Argentinian Roberto has now been arrested on suspicion of homicide while police continue their search for his alleged victim’s body in hills near the city of Mendoza where he is said to have told detectives he hid her body.
Ms Rodriguez, who spent time with her footballer boyfriend in Manchester recently, took to social media overnight after learning about the shock news to pay tribute to her relative.
She wrote alongside a picture of a rose, at the start of International Women’s Day: ‘Us women, who carry human beings in their wombs and feed them in their first days of life and promise unconditional love for ever. Fragile and sweet.
‘At the same time capable of enduring the strongest pain. We are not fragile and we are not sweet where there is violence. ‘Protecting another is part of our instincts. Protect and denounce violence. Verbal or physical. National consciousness. ‘A man is no longer a man when he mistreats a woman. With pain we say goodbye to you today.’
The focus turned to Audano, said to have asked Ms Arregui, for a divorce after just a year of marriage, when investigators found no CCTV footage to back up his claims he had taken her to a bus station in Mendoza on February 5 so she could travel to Chile to surprise her loved ones.
Two pistols and two shotguns were found during a search of his home after his Tuesday night confession to police, who are focusing their search on an area near Potrilleros in the Andean foothills a short drive from Mendoza.
Forensic experts are also reported to have found traces of blood in Audano’s truck.
