Teacher Sacked After Posting Video Of Him Kissing A Female Student (Photos)

A teacher in China has been removed from his post after a video of him kissing a female student went viral, according to Dailymail UK.

The 46-year-old man was reportedly tutoring the 17-year-old girl privately at his home on March 11 when she filmed the video.

The teacher claimed he had been drinking and 'was a little confused' at the time, but insisted they did not have intercourse, the headmaster said.

The teacher, known by his surname Jia, taught at Luonan Middle School in the county of Luonan in Shaanxi Province, according to the report.

He is said to have started giving private tutoring sessions since last November.

The school's headmaster told the reporter that Jia uploaded the footage onto his online account to be viewed just by himself, but by mistake he switched the privacy settings which allowed 'everyone' to watch the clip.

The headmaster said the kiss was voluntary between the two.

The video in question was first shared on QQ, a Chinese chatting platform, before being shared onto social media apps, such as WeChat, the Chinese equivalent to WhatsApp.

A governmental statement circulating by the Chinese media yesterday shows that Jia's teaching license has been revoked by the Technology, Education and Sports Bureau of Luonan County.

The statement, apparently issued on March 21, said Jia had violated the code of professional conduct and ethics as well as the rules of the Communist Party of China, of which he was a member.

He would be demoted and transferred to work elsewhere outside the education system and has been expelled from the Communist Party of China, the statement adds.

The profit of his tutoring session from the student - 2,000 yuan (£223) in total - would be confiscated by the authority and returned to the girl.

The Luonan Middle School has been ordered to teach its faculty about professional ethics and to crack down on suspicious activities.
