HON UCHE COLLINS OKOYE HONOURS THE INVITATION OF OBUNWANNEAMAKA AGE GRADE

THE FIRST OUTING OF THEIR NEW IGBA-AGU MASQUERADE AT UMUDIOKA VILLAGE, AWKA.

Earlier today, I graced the first outing of Igba-Agu Masquerade of the prestigious Obunwanneamaka Age grade, Umudioka Village, Awka.

The colorful and unique event which had in attendance, His Imperial Majesty, Obi Dr Austin Chukwuezugo Ndigwe(Ezeuzu III, the Obi of Awka) under the distinguished Chairmanship of Ozo Celestine Okoye(DIG Rtd), Ozo Abirikete N' Awka saw people from all walks of life thronged the venue, Ndichie Hall, Umudioka to witness the event and to appreciate the uniqueness of the occasion.

Hon Chief Vincent Emeka Igwe(Etoodike, PDP House of Representatives Candidate, Awka North and South Federal Constituency was also present to witness the expedition of our rich cultural heritage in full display.

I commended the leadership and members of the Agegrade for the roles they played in making sure the event was successful, worthwhile and entertaining.

We will do more in reviving and revamping other notable age-grades within Awka and Okpuno which have either gone extinct or no longer functioning. 

This is a task that must be accomplished if we must have a peaceful and progressive Awka and Okpuno where everyone irrespective of creed and belief live in peace and harmony.

No one can truncate the collective wishes of a determined people which will surely manifest once I take up the mantle of legislative leadership of Awka South 1 Constituency.
