Peter Obi: Neither Yusuf Datti nor myself have stolen government money
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has claimed that he and his running partner, Yusuf Datti, are honest and have never stolen from the government and that they are, thus, still the best candidates to be elected in next month’s presidential election.
On Friday, at a party rally in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, he made this announcement at Rwang Pam Stadium.
He claimed his critics never accused him of wrongdoing in government, instead pointing out that he is cheap.
In his words, he would protect the country’s assets and put them to good use for the average citizen.
He said that he and his running mate and the party’s officials were superior to the other parties’ candidates because they were all younger and more energetic.
He promised to end the country’s poverty, corruption, and instability if elected.
