FIFA Best Men’s Award 2022: Messi, Benzema, Mbappe Make Final Shortlist
The three players were picked from an initial list of 14 names by national team coaches, captains, journalists and fans.
Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, the Paris Saint-Germain duo, have made the shortlist for FIFA’s Best Men’s Award 2022.
They made the list alongside Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.
The three players were picked from an initial list of 14 names by national team coaches, captains, journalists and fans.
Messi, Mbappe and Benzema were adjudged the standout performers between August 2021 and December 2022.
Benzema has already picked up the Ballon d’Or award last year, following an impressive year with Real Madrid where he won the LaLiga and Champions League titles.
Messi won his first ever World Cup triumph in December, while Mbappe was on the receiving end of that defeat, his hat-trick in the final capped off an impressive individual year for club and country.
The winner will be announced on February 27.
