A 28-year-old man identified as Naziru Abubakar, has been allegedly killed by officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC, at Brighter School area in Minna, Niger state.

Dailypost reported that about five youths were seated outside at that time but took to their heels when they sighted the operatives who were on a routine patrol.

The youths were said to have run into the house of one Yanga Buba, however, out of curiosity to see why they ran on sighting the officers, the deceased, Nasiru who was said to be reciting the Holy Quran at the time came outside and was shot by the operatives.

An eyewitness disclosed that Nasiru was shot in the head and died on the spot, adding that the activities of hoodlums in the area had become a source of worry to residents.
