Umar Namadi Sworn In As Jigawa State Governor
The oath of office was administered by the state chief Judge, Justice Umar Sadiq Maigari held at Aminu Kano Triangle, Dutse, the state capital.
Jigawa Gov-elect, Malam Umar Namadi and his Deputy, Aminu Usman Gumel were sworn into office on Monday, May 29.

Malam Umar Namadi of APC won the governorship election after he scored 618,449 of the total votes cast to defeat his opponent Mustapha Sule Lamido of the PDP who polled 368,726 votes.
In his inauguration speech after taking an oath of office, Governor Umar Namadi promised to continue to build on Badaru’s legacies.
“We will continue to build a strong economy, create jobs, expand access to quality education and enhance healthcare services in the state”
