Elon Musk's ex-wife Talulah Riley announces engagement to Maze Runner star Thomas Brodie-Sangster
Elon Musk's ex-wife Talulah Riley has announced her engagement to Maze Runner star Thomas Brodie-Sangster.
Riley was previously married to Musk - not just once, but twice.
The couple first got hitched in 2010 before divorcing in 2012, only to remarry the following year. They split for good in 2016.
I suppose the reason to get remarried was just because it felt silly to be together unmarried after having been married," Riley previously explained to The Independent.
"You know, it’s like a habit. We were saying ‘this is my husband.’ ‘This is my wife.’ ‘Oh, wait, no, we’re not that anymore. We better be that again.’
"You know, it felt silly to go back to ‘this is my boyfriend’ when we’ve been married. So, we just got married again."
Well, on Thursday evening (27 July), Thomas and Talulah - who have been dating for two years - took to social media to reveal the happy announcement.
Alongside a sweet photo of herself and Thomas, Talulah, 37, said: "Very happy to share that after two years of dating, Thomas Brodie Sangster and I are engaged."
The pair reportedly met while filming miniseries Pistol, in which they played fashion designers Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren respectively.
Despite finding love with another man, Riley has gone on record to say that Musk happens to be the ‘perfect ex-husband’
During her time coupled up with the business mogul, she explained she took care of his five children from his previous marriage with Justine Musk.
"I mean, there were the rockets and the cars, and there were things blowing up… there was a lot going on – a lot that was very stimulating," Riley said.
"We [her, and Musk’s kids] were very involved in what was going on. It was a group effort. A family-wide effort."
She added: "Elon was great. He had me alongside for all of that. So it wasn’t like I was stuck in a mansion in Bel Air like a trophy wife, which would not have been fun.
"I did, of course, witness that for others. But luckily, that was not my fate. We are in a happy place now, where we’re good to each other, which is really nice. I have here utmost love for him."
Musk had a busy day - meeting the French president, having lunch with another one of the world's richest men, Bernard Arnault, and attending a tech conference where he warned about the dangers of AI.
