FG, Labour go into Emergency Meeting to Avert Strike
Representatives of the Federal Government and organised labour are meeting at the Presidential Villa in a bid to avert a nationwide strike.
Lagos reporters reports that the meeting came after the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) issued a seven-day ultimatum to the government over the recent hike in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and other “unfriendly policies.”
The NLC team is headed by its national president, Joe Ajaero, while the Trade Union Congress (TUC) team was headed by its president, Festus Osifo.
