By Marvelous Ezenwa

In a significant political shift, Chief Architect Emeka Uganaeme, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholder in Nanka, has officially joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). The event saw a remarkable turnout of Nanka residents, rallying in support of Uganaeme’s decision. Speaking to newsmen , Uganaeme praised the transformative work of Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, crediting Soludo’s governance and vision for his decision to switch allegiance.

Uganaeme, who has lived in Awka since 1999, expressed admiration for Governor Soludo, stating, “Governor Soludo is the only governor who has transformed Awka into the best state capital in the South East. I want the best for my state, Anambra.” He emphasized that APGA, an indigenous political party in the South East, represents strong governance and leadership. He also honored the party’s founding father, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, highlighting his integrity and drawing parallels to Governor Soludo.

Commending the leadership of Nanka Ward 1 Chairman Mr. Louis Nwankwo and his executives, Uganaeme promised to work towards making Nanka 100% APGA after the upcoming Nanka APGA summit in August. He assured Governor Soludo of his support for a second term in 2025. Uganaeme thanked his supporters for their overwhelming turnout and dedication in decamping to APGA.

Chief Architect Okay Ezeobi, DG/CEO of the Anambra State Bureau for Public Procurement, lauded Uganaeme’s bold move. Describing him as a significant asset to APGA and the broader community, Ezeobi highlighted the strong following Uganaeme commands, particularly within the “Igbo bu Ofu” group in Anambra State. Ezeobi also praised Governor Soludo’s impactful initiatives, including free education, free medical care, and the zero poverty program that has distributed economic trees across the state.

Hon Ken Okoli, President of the Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) Youth Wing, was also present and commended Uganaeme for his decisive action. He pledged to include all youth in the transition to APGA. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Dr. Akabuike Joseph, former Commissioner for Health in Anambra State, and Mrs. Oluchi Okeke, further underscoring the significance of Uganaeme’s political realignment.
