How Robbers who snatched Lexus SUV Were arrested in Adamawa
Two armed robbers who were said to have shot the owner of a Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and snatched the vehicle from him in Anambra State have been arrested after it was sighted in Adamawa State, the Adamawa State Police Command announced today, Friday, June 7, 2024.
The state police command disclosed the development on its X handle, saying the two robbers, whose names were given as Saidu Mohammed, aged 30 years and Rabiu Idris, were arrested by men of the Surveillance Team of the command two months after carrying out the robbery operation..
It was gathered that the command received a complaint from one Daiso Kyrian that armed robbers attacked him on a highway in Awka, Anambra State, when he visited the state, shot him and snatched his Lexus RX 330.
Upon receiving the report, the command began investigation into the matter and their efforts paid off when Saidu Mohammed, who was found in possession of the vehicle, was arrested.
Further interrogation of the man led to the arrest of Rabiu Idris and the two of them were said to have confessed that they carried out the robbery.
According to the command, they have given more useful information to the police team and they are expected to be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation into their nefarious activities.
