Jeff Bezos' Bid to Acquire NFL Team Was Unsuccessful Due to One Reason
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos attempted to purchase the NFL's Washington Commanders in 2022 when Dan Snyder put the team up for sale.
However, the tech magnate was unable to finalize the deal due to a significant reason.
The 60-year-old businessman reportedly was "simply outbid" by a group of investors led by businessman Josh Harris, who completed the transaction for $6.05 billion in July 2023.
Initial speculation suggested that former Commanders owner Dan Snyder had intentionally excluded Bezos from the bidding process due to personal animosities between the two.
