Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez have purchased a plot of land on the exclusive Jumeirah Island in Dubai for €25 million (£21m/$27m).
The seahorse-shaped island, located just off the coast of Dubai, is known for its luxury and exclusivity. It is managed by one of the largest luxury real estate groups in the United Arab Emirates and is close to the iconic Palm Islands.
Ronaldo, who currently plays for Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr, appears to be making long-term plans for a base in the Middle East.
