According to Tony Eri, the groundbreaking move towards modernization and transparency in Nigerian politics, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has commenced its Digital Registration and Membership Revalidation process.
The initiative was officially flagged off yesterday with a biometric capture and online registration event attended by the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, his wife, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, and their daughter, Ms. Adaora Soludo, at their hometown in Isuofia.
Mrs. Nonye Soludo expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, "Yesterday, in the company of my husband and daughter, I arrived our hometown, Isuofia, for biometric capture and online registration in commencement of the Digital Registration and Membership Revalidation of our great party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)."
She continued, "I’m elated to have been involved in this historical development, which stands our Party out in vision, leadership, and ideals. APGA is an unbeatable brand. We’re raising the bar in all dimensions of organization and progressiveness in Nigeria."
This pioneering step by APGA, under the leadership of Governor Soludo and National Chairman Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, marks the first time a political party in Nigeria has implemented the complete digitization of its membership database. The party has introduced a state-of-the-art mobile app for digital registration and digital membership cards, featuring an array of innovative features.
Mrs. Nonye Soludo urged both existing and intending members of APGA to actively participate in the process, which is taking place at designated centres across the political wards in Nigeria. "Become a true Progressive. Join APGA today!" she encouraged.
The digital registration and revalidation process is set to revolutionize the way political parties in Nigeria manage their membership databases, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and efficiency. With APGA leading the charge, it remains to be seen if other political parties will follow suit in adopting similar measures to modernize their operations.
As the digital registration continues, APGA members and political observers alike will be watching closely to see how this initiative impacts the party's growth and influence in the Nigerian political landscape.
