UEFA react as Cristiano Ronaldo becomes oldest player to assist a goal at Euros as Portugal qualify for last 16
Portugal national team produced a dominant display to guarantee top spot in Group F with a 3-0 victory over Turkey in the UEFA European Championship on Saturday evening in Dortmund, Germany.
However, with the scoreline 2-0 in favour of Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo was through on goal but instead of scoring himself, he assisted Bruno Fernandes for Portugal's third, becoming the oldest player to make a Euro assist a 39 years and 138 days.
Reacting after Cristiano Ronaldo became the oldest player to make a UEFA EURO assist, UEFA EURO tweeted: "Cristiano Ronaldo is the oldest player to make a EURO assist (39 years, 138 days)
