Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic featured as lead actress in Ghanaian movie ‘Two of a Kind’

 Nollywood actress Rita Dominic has joined the cast of “Two of a Kind,” a new film from the makers of the 2017 movie “Potato Potahto.”



“Two of a Kind” is written and directed by Ghanaian filmmaker Shirley Frimpong-Manso. She is well-known across Africa for her pan-African productions and is the CEO of Sparrow Productions. Her company also runs Sparrow Station, a platform that distributes African entertainment content. Frimpong-Manso has won several awards, including Best Director at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for her film “The Perfect Picture” and the 2014 AMVCA Best Director award for “Contract.” She is known for highlighting strong female leads in her films, such as “Rebecca,” “Shampaign,” and “Love or Something Like That.”


Rita Dominic is one of Nollywood’s top actresses with decades of experience. She has starred in over a hundred productions, including “Le Femme Anjola,” “The Therapist,” “The Meeting,” “Light in the Dark,” “The Blindspot,” and “Desecration.” She won the 2015 AMVCA for Best Actress in a Comedy for “The Meeting” and Best Actress in Drama/TV Series for “Iyore.”


“Two of a Kind” finished principal photography this year.


This Nigerian-Ghanaian collaboration also stars Gloria Osei, Akrobeto Akwasi, Kojo Boakye, Adjetey Anang, Jessica Larry, Dean Louis, Chidera David, and Arion.
