The referee refused to shake hands with the captain of the USA team, Christian Pulisic, and told him to "go away."

Throughout the match, Pulisic argued and quarreled with the referee, and after the final whistle, an emotional Pulisic invited the referee team to celebrate the victory with the Uruguay team.
