Operatives from the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested a man for allegedly posing as a policeman and extorting money from individuals.

The suspect, Shafiu Abdulkadir, 26, a resident of Anguwan Yelwa in Yola North Local Government Area, was arrested on Thursday, September 26, according to a statement released on Friday by the police.

The statement, signed by spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the suspect was found extorting money from tricyclists along Aliyu Mustapha Flyover and around Jimeta Modern Market, both in Yola North LGA.
