Ohanaeze youths congratulate elected LG chairmen, hails Soludo for promise kept

 Ayamelum Youth Wing of the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo world wide has congratulated newly elected local government chairman Hon. Chief Alphonsus Ofumelu and his deputy, Hon. Mrs Mbanugo Felicia Oruya and all elected councillors in the local government on their victory at the just concluded local government election.



Youth leader of the group Mazi Obinna Nweke (IGILIGI), in his congratulatory message described the victory as a call to serve and take Ayamelum local government to a greater height.


He called on all elected chairmen and the council members to work for the peace, unity and development of Ayamelum, stressing that governance should precede politics.


He said, “I trust the capacity of Hon. Ofumelu and his team to deliver democratic dividends to ndi Ayamelum.


“It is therefore my expectations that Ndi Ayamelum will accord the newly elected council members the necessary support that is required to prosper Ayamelum by shunning party politics.”


Nweke further commended Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for delivering on his campaign promises as well as conducting a seamless Council election in the state.


“Local government election was one out of the many promises of Governor Chukwuma Soludo during his electioneering campaign for the governor of the State and that he has fulfilled.



“I am happy that after about ten years of no local government elections, Governor Soludo has finally broken the jinx and once again in history, handed over governance to the grassroots.


“This amongst other things such as massive construction of roads in the state, Youths empowerment programmes, Construction of the New Government/Governor’s lodge, health reforms, educational reforms policies and many more are testament to Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s sterling performance.


“I therefore call on ndi Ayamelum to continue to support Soludo’s administration,” he stated.
