The statement further revealed that “As a clear mark of honour for our late grand-patron, trading at the complex will be for half-day, meaning that from 12 noon, all shops shall be shut down and any defaulter shall pay a fine (amount withheld).
Recall that the federal lawmaker from Anambra State who died some weeks ago in London, has been a strong pillar in issues relating to the progress of ASPMDA as he has been in the fore-front of the progress of the market.
He has over the years been driving the course of the market by making several donation and provision of infrastructures in the complex including the donation of giant firefighting truck, lighting up the complex with solar streetlights and so much more.
In an interview, the chairman of the Service of Songs and Day of Tributes Organizing Committee, High Chief Nonso Okafor said “ASPMDA has lost a strong helper that will be very hard to replace in Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah”.
