Police Raid Black Spots Nationwide, Arrest 128 Hoodlums
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that the raids align with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, to implement efficient security measures during the Yuletide.
A total of 128 suspected hoodlums have been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force across the country, leading to the discovery of dangerous weapons from the suspects.

ACP Adejobi stated, “As the festive season approaches, the Nigeria Police Force remains vigilant and proactive, ramping up efforts to ensure the safety and security of all citizens. Through intensified operations, the Force has achieved significant successes in raids, arrests, and recoveries.”
On December 14, 2024, operatives of the Lagos State Police Command raided multiple criminal hideouts in the Isolo area, arresting 43 suspects. Among the recovered items were large quantities of cannabis, daggers, swords, and fetish objects.
On December 15, 2024, in Isheri Osun, Lagos State, police arrested a suspect, Charles Orji, who attempted to steal a Toyota Hilux. A search revealed seven different Toyota car keys in his possession, raising suspicions of a larger car theft operation.
The Force is maintaining vigilance in other states, including Kaduna, Zamfara, Taraba, Edo, Delta, Benue, and Niger, to curb criminal activities. Police operatives have deployed coordinated security measures to safeguard lives and property nationwide.
“As we enter the final stretch of the festivities, the Nigeria Police Force assures citizens of its commitment to deterring crime and protecting lives and property,” Adejobi said.
He urged the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to the authorities, emphasizing the Force’s dedication to providing a safe environment for all Nigerians during the holiday season.
