The Reason Why Police Has Not Given Speed Darlington Bail Is Something None Of Us Can Explain - Singer's Lawyer, Stan Alieke
He said the police have the power to grant the singer administrative bail but that he is surprised that they have refused to.
Nigerian musician, Speed Darlington's lawyer, Stan Alieke, has stated that the singer's arraignment is scheduled for January 15, 2025. He expressed concern over the police's refusal to grant bail three weeks after his re-arrest and detention.
In a live chat today, Stan said the singer has been in detention for three weeks.
He said that the date given for Speed Darlington's arraignment implies that he will be spending the Christmas and New Year holidays in the IRT detention centre in Abuja which is also known as Abbatoir.
He said the police have the power to grant the singer administrative bail but that he is surprised that they have refused to.
Alieke said he understands that the police also have a score to settle with Speed Darling over bribery allegations he levelled against them.
Speed Darlington was arrested over a petition BurnaBoy wrote against him claiming he defamed him.
