Anambra man bathes wife with fuel, sets her ablaze over infidelity
A middle-aged man Wednesday morning set her wife ablaze after bathing her with fuel over alleged infidelity in Abagana, Anambra State.
The deceased, Chioma nwana a mother of six was said to have left Jos, Plateau state with her children to the village last year before the incident happened.
A viral video showed the woman battling for survival with the fuel before she was set ablaze.
“Her name is Chioma nwana they left Jos to village last year. Ije di (journey of marriage). See how her husband pour fuel on her this morning and put her fire.
“Mother of 6 boys to and only child called husband. God punish devil,” a comment attached to the video read.
Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the man has been arrested, while investigation has commenced.
“We are aware of the matter, but it is sad to announce to you that the woman just died this morning while receiving medical attention.
“Her husband has also been arrested and investigation has commenced,” he said.
