Commotion As Woman Allegedly Pours Hot Water On Friend’s Daughter In Kano
It was reported that the attack stemmed from a dispute over a task Jamila gave Fatima, which involved keeping an eye on her daughter’s movements in the neighborhood.
A Nigerian woman, who has been simply identified simply as Jamila has been accused of pouring hot water on her friend’s daughter, Fatima Sani, causing severe burns and peeling off some parts of her skin.
The incident occurred in Unguwa Uku, Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State.
It was reported that the attack stemmed from a dispute over a task Jamila gave Fatima, which involved keeping an eye on her daughter’s movements in the neighborhood.
Speaking to Daily Post, the victim, Fatima Sani, explained that Jamila attacked her after she informed her that Jamila’s daughter was still engaging in conversations around the neighborhood despite being warned.
This led to a confrontation between Fatima and Jamila’s daughter. In the heat of the altercation, Jamila poured hot water on both of them, causing severe burns.
Fatima revealed that Jamila’s daughter also sustained burns and currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
Fatima’s grandmother, Safiya Sulaiman, expressed deep distress over the incident, stating that her granddaughter suffered severe burns on her face and back.
“We have no personal issues with this woman apart from being neighbors. We are calling on the authorities to ensure that justice is served,” said Safiya Sulaiman.
Meanwhile, the suspect, Jamila, is in police custody. Efforts to get her side of the story were unsuccessful as she remains under police investigation.
The spokesperson for the Kano State Police Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, stated that he had not yet received a report on the incident but promised to investigate and provide updates in due course.
