Governor Soludo Flags off SYPSG Free training Empowerment for 1000 Anambra Youth
The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo CFR has flagged off (SYPSG) Solution Youth-Preneurs Support Group free Training empowerment for 1000 Anambra youth in the state at International Conventional Center Awka.
The Solution Youth-Preneures Support Group (SYPSG) was formed by the first beneficiaries of the 1Youth 2Skills empowerment Program as a give back to the society and expression of gratitude to the state government.
Governor Soludo commended the group for finding it worthy to give back to the society after being trained by the state government under the pilot phase of 1Youth 2Skills Program adding "you have proved your readiness to help the state government to develop the youth and fight crime in the state."
Governor Soludo further said that the program is very fascinating and an initiative that has proved to be a game changer pointing out that it is deliberate, well structured and organic.
Mr. Governor also disclosed that 20,000 youths will be trained in the upcoming 3rd phase of 1Youth 2Skills Solution program. and advised every young person to make sure they participate in learning different skills for future purposes.
In his address, the commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha-Mba commended the SYPSG Coordinator and group for their effort in helping the state government to develop the state youth
He said that the SYPSG came for partnership with the Ministry of Youth Development to offer technical support including mobilization of trainees, adding that all the selected beneficiaries were selected from different formations, which included Igwes, PGs, Youth Leaders and LGA Mayors.
In his welcome address, the Coordinator SYPSG Mr. Prince Chinedu Ofojebe stated that the beneficiaries of the 1Youth 2Skills Solution Program has metamorphosed to SYPSG, pointing out that the group came into existence as a result of the success stories recorded by the program of Mr. Governors initiative
He further stated that the organization comprises of beneficiaries who benefited from vocational and entrepreneurship skills training of the 1Youth 2Skills and grants for business financing from Mr. Governor. He added that the SYPSG members are part of Over 4,000 youth millionaires produced in less than 3 years of his administration..
One of the participants, Chinedu Okeke thanked the state government and SYPSG for the youth empowerment program provided for Anambra youth and promised that he will grab the opportunity given to the youth to be self reliant and a responsible citizen.
Responding on behalf of other beneficiaries,Miss Oluchukwu Ezu and Prince Rapuluchukwu thanked Governor Soludo and the ministry of youth development for initiating the empowerment program and for prioritising the welfare of youths and giving them opportunities to better themselves and promised that they will take the opportunity given to them very serious in order to make themselves dependent.
Earlier,the State Chairman of Anambra Traditional Rulers Council and Igwe of Obosi,Eze Iweka had commended Governor Soludo for his youth empowerment initiatives and security strategies adding that they're yielding results. He urged the youths to utilize the ample opportunity to acquire skills and shun get rich quick syndrome which have destroyed many youths.
