Popular Nigerian lawyer, Stan Alieke,  has taken to his Instastories to disclose that under the customary law in Igboland, the bride price validates the paternity of a child and not even the result from a DNA test carried out.

In the post, Alieke further stated that if a man is yet to pay the bride price on the mother of his child, the child will be presumed a ‘’b@strd or fatherless.''
