1Youth2Skills Batch 2, Stream 2 Officially Commences - Patrick Aghamba
Batch 2, Stream 2 of the 1Youth2Skills Entrepreneurship Scheme officially commenced on Friday, 7th March 2025, with accreditation and onboarding exercises ongoing until Monday, 10th March 2025. Lectures for Stream 2 are scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 11th March 2025.
The ministry of youth development expresses their profound gratitude to the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, for his visionary leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment towards empowering the youths of Anambra State. Noting that his dedication has led to the successful completion of Stream 1 of the program on Thursday, 6th March 2025.
It is important to highlight that Batch 2, Stream 1 trainees have just concluded their intensive 4-month vocational and entrepreneurship skill training — the core components of the 1Youth2Skills initiative designed to provide dual empowerment opportunities for beneficiaries.
The entrepreneurship aspect has become an invaluable learning opportunity for youths across all 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Anambra State, facilitated by renowned Entrepreneurship Development Institutions (EDIs), including:
Chisco Institute UNIZIK
Centre for Entrepreneurship Development UNIZIK
Chile Okoli Entrepreneurship Centre UNIZIK
Entrepreneurship Development Centre Oko Poly
OLEC Institute Onitsha
Beatrice Onyemelukwe Institute
Anambra State Polytechnic (ANAM-POLY), Mgbakwu
IDK Entrepreneurship Centre
Industrial Training Fund (ITF), among others.
The program continues to be closely monitored by the Ministry of Youth Development, Local Government Officials, Community Stakeholders, and UNIZIK Business School (Strategy, Execution, and Evaluation Unit - SEE) to ensure effectiveness and impactful outcomes.
Participants of Stream 1 have shared numerous heartfelt testimonies about how Mr. Governor’s 1Youth2Skills initiative has positively transformed their lives, providing them with tangible skills and entrepreneurial opportunities.
