Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu met the Mayor of Atlanta, Andre Dickens in the United States on Sunday night.

The duo met to renew a five-decade-old sister-city relationship, Mr Sanwo-Olu said.

At the meeting, Sanwo-Olu spoke on different areas of collaboration such as education, technology, sports and entertainment.

The governor, on Monday, posted photos of the meeting on Instagram.

He said, “Lagos and Atlanta have been known to enjoy over fifty years’ sister-cities relationship, which we had not utilized to best of its capacity.

“Last night, I met with Mr. Andre Dickens, the Mayor of Atlanta to discuss new and innovative ways to renew the age-long relationship.

“At the meeting, we touched on different areas of collaboration such as education, technology, sports and entertainment. And agreed to work together on other mutually beneficial areas for the development of the two cities.”
