A young man identified as Lemuel Mzungwega Gbajime has been killed by suspected Tiv militia just one week to his wedding in Benue State.
The victim was a graduate of the Benue State University.
He was set to tie the knot with his bride, Agnes, on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in Makurdi.
He was brutally murdered by the assailants along the Chito-Zaki Biam road on August 25, 2023.
A former school mate, Ayati Orlu Bem Ayati, in a Facebook post on Saturday, said the deceased ran into the assailants while on the way to his village in Chito, Ukum Local Government Area to inform his people about his upcoming wedding.
