The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has stated categorically that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Douye Diri cannot be sworn in as Bayelsa State governor.
Senator Diri is slated to be sworn in as the new governor tomorrow, Friday.
In a statement just issued by Comrade Oshiomhole, he said that neither Diri nor any other person will be sworn tomorrow because he did not meet the requirements of the Supreme Court.
Oshiomhole noted that the Supreme Court ordered that the certificate of return should be issued to the candidate with the required spread in the election.
Aside from David Lyon, however, he said, no candidate in the election met that requirement.
The implication, he stated, is that from Friday Bayelsa will be without a Governor.
